Her First Laugh!

OK, maybe this is not her actual first laugh, but she just started doing this a few days ago.

The Beloved Musical Mobile

Olivia loves her musical mobile - the same one that was in her daddy's crib when he was a wee one.

Olivia was gabby tonight - New Year's Eve 2008.

A Van Hoy Christmas

Olivia was great on the airplanes to and from Chicago to visit her Uncle Charlie, Aunt Tracy, and cousins David and Joey. Too bad the airport closed on our way to it, necessitating a 4 hour diversion - to Omaha Nebraska to sit on the tarmac waiting for the storm to blow over. We had a very white Christmas!

We drove to Indianapolis to visit Olivia's 84 year old Great Grandmother Genevieve, Aunt Tom and Uncle Mary (Jeremy's dad's siblings). We played Wii.

Growing out of her clothes

Here's Olivia at 10 weeks stuffed into the outfit she wore home from the hospital. She's in the 75th percentile for weight at 95th for height. No wonder she's growing out of her clothes so fast!

Her legs are all bunched up in there.

Here she's swimming in it!

Tough Girl: First round of shots

Olivia got her first round of immunization shots on Monday. I was prepared for the worst day of my life, having heard horror stories of terrible infant screams of pain. All I can say is the Tylenol must have worked. She fussed a little, then sat quietly while we waited the requisite 10 minutes to insure she didn't have a bad reaction. What a champ!

However, after her nap, when the Tylenol had worn off and her muscle soreness from the shot had presumably set in, that's when we heard her worst cries ever. She could hardly breathe through it, poor thing. Thankfully it was short-lived, and later that night she was her usual happy, social self at the Citizens Project holiday party.
