The Pump and The Bottle

Surely there is nothing more natural than breast feeding. But can there be anything more unnatural than the breast pump? Hold up two plastic cones to ones breasts, attached to bottles and tubes, while a motor pumps milk out of them. Definitely not natural. It's quite bizarre, in fact.

Ah, the adventures of motherhood!

Thankfully, Olivia and I figured out the breast feeding thing easily. Since I will be going back to work, we also have to figure out the pump and bottle thing. Our first experiment went swimmingly! I'm especially glad Jeremy gets to feed Olivia, too. This girl is truly the chowmaster. (She GAINED 6 ounces in her first week, not that I'm bragging.)
